THE CAPE HEADS UP AN ALL-STAR CAST

Superhero series The Cape comes to Syfy this August with an all-star cast including David Lyons, Summer Glau, James Frain, Vinnie Jones and Keith David. 

Leading man David Lyons, an Australian native, has most recently starred opposite Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love. The series follows his character, Vince Farraday, who, at a moment of desperation, teams up with a group of carnival misfits and takes on a superhero persona to take back all that he has lost and clear his name.

Sci-fi mega babe, Summer Glau, takes on the role of Orwell, a mysterious blogger who becomes Vince Faraday’s ally in his quest for justice. Glau is well known amongst sci-fi fans from appearing in Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Most recently she has taken on the lead role, alongside Ryan Kwantan, in the feature film Knights of Badassdom.

Taking on the role of the Cape’s mentor, Max Mollini, is Keith David who has a long list of film and television credits to his name including, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Pitch Black: The Chronicles of Riddick.

The Cape’s nemesis, Chess, is played by veteran actor James Frain best known for his performances as vampire Franklin Mott in True Blood and recently playing opposite Jeff Bridges in the highly successful Tron Legacy.

Finally, resident thug Scales is played by cult actor Vinnie Jones. Once a professional footballer in the UK, Jones made his acting debut when Guy Ritchie cast him in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Most recently he starred in the blockbuster movie X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

The Cape premieres on Syfy on Monday 22 August @ 10.50pm/9.50pm THAI-JKT.
