In 1956, a massive fire raged through the south wing at Blackgate Prison. The warden’s daughter disappeared in the fire and the warden himself was killed. A large number of inmate suicides followed, and the prison responded by permanently sealing off the south wing. Fifty years pass, and Detective Michael Turner (Michael Paré) is investigating the suicide of a Blackgate prison guard. There, he unearths a deadly secret that the prison has been keeping for the past 50 years. He seeks to find out what had happened but a vengeful spirit is determined to stop him.
