Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) is a scientist whose experiments on himself together with a laboratory accident combine to unleash the most powerful force the world has ever seen, The Hulk. Bruce must now fight to control his inner demon while pursued by General Ross (Sam Elliot) and getting help from his ex-girlfriend Betty Ross (Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly).
