"Stargate Atlantis" follows a scientific and military group from Earth who are sent to explore Atlantis after the Lost City is found. The city was built millions of years ago by an advanced human race known as the Ancients. After losing a battle to a powerful enemy, the Ancients were forced to submerge their city beneath the ocean. Their mission is to investigate its secrets and bring whatever they discover back to Earth.
